atherine Burton
was born in Sacramento, California, but her roots and genealogy
are planted South of San Antonio in the Mustang Desert, the home
of the King Ranch. She is a 5th generation member of an old pioneer
Texas family that helped settle that desolate ranching and oil field
country. After graduating from Alice High School, she attended Trinity
University in San Antonio and Southwestern University in Georgetown.
n 1985, Catherine
Burton enrolled in the School of Psychology at the University of
Texas at Dallas. After graduating, with a B. A. in Psychology, she
entered a masters program at Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
After graduation from SMU with a M. A. Degree in Psychology, she
gained extensive experience at a psychiatric hospital, working with
sexual trauma victims, court ordered sexual offenders and alcohol
and drug dependent patients. At the hospital, she also worked in
an adult psychiatric unit with patients suffering from depression
and anxiety disorders, thus accumulating diverse therapeutic experience.
day, Catherine presently
works with individuals, couples, singles and families in a highly
successful private practice with offices in Plano and Southlake,
Texas. She is dedicated to empowering those in her practice and
is gifted in assisting them in developing their highest potential.
In addition, she conducts seminars and workshops on her innovative
divorce recovery program.
atherine Burton
lives in Dallas, TX with her husband Barry and treasures many good
childhood memories with her family and friends.
